Jalur Gemilang


Hi peeps, today I want to tell you about Malaysia flag that also known as ‘Jalur Gemilang’. This jalur gemilang consist of 14 stripes, which was divided by two colors, seven red and seven white. Other than that, there also a moon and a star with blue background. 
So now I will tell you about the meaning of the colors and I will explain to you why they choose the entire symbol in it. First of all 14 stripes represent 14 states in Malaysia including Sabah and Sarawak. The crescent represents Islam as the Malaysia’s official religious. 14 points of the star represent the unity of 13 states with one federal government. In the Jalur Gemilang there are several colors such as red, white, yellow and blue. Red represents bravery of the Malaysian. White represents purity of Islam as the official religious in Malaysia. Blue represent the unity of Malaysian people and yellow represent the royal color of the Malays ruler.
